The research design used in this study is pre-experimental with a one group pretest posttest design type. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. The research was conducted in class X B at SMA Negeri 2 Pontianak. The research results show that the Sig. pretest value is 0.147 > α 5% and the Sig. posttest value is 0.320 > α 5%, so both data are normally distributed. The Sig. value for the homogeneity test is 0.369 > α 5%, so the data is homogeneous. To determine the extent of the influence of blog usage on knowledge competence, a paired sample t-test was conducted. The results of the t-test show a Sig. value of 0.000 < α 5%, it can be concluded that there is an influence of using blog-based media on students' knowledge competence in history subjects. The Normalized N-Gain test is used to determine the extent of the influence of blog media on knowledge competence, showing a result of 0.54 with a moderate category.
2025-08-30T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 HEURISTIK: Jurnal Pendidikan Sejarahhttps://heuristik.ejournal.unri.ac.id/index.php/HJPS/article/view/218Utilization of Wayang Punakawan Media in Local History Learning in Grade 6 of Sekolah Dasar Negeri Adan-Adan 1 2026-01-08T15:37:58+07:00Ardi Tri Yuwono[email protected]Eizzah Bukhari binti Ahad[email protected]M. Learning local history, especially for children, plays a role in fostering a sense of pride, care, and attachment to their home region. However, during the process of learning local history, students often experience boredom. This situation encourages researchers to create innovations that are in accordance with the characteristics of elementary school-age children, namely by utilizing Wayang Punakawan media in the learning process of character education. This study aims to evaluate the impact of the use of Wayang Punakawan media on students' local history knowledge. The method used in this study is classroom action research, in the sixth grade, Adan-Adan 1 State Elementary School, Kediri Regency, East Java. The results of the study showed that: (1) The ability of teachers to plan character education learning using Wayang Punakawan media obtained an average score of 3.54 (very good); (2) The teacher's ability to carry out character education learning with Wayang Punakawan media received an average score of 3.71 (very good), and; (3) The learning outcomes of sixth grade students of Adan-Adan 1 State Elementary School showed improvement.
This study is aimed to explain the role of newspapers as the media of social criticism during early political consolidation of the New Order until January 15th 1974 unrest. After Sukarno was ousted, Suharto rose into power as a temporary president in 1966, before being inaugurated as a second president of Indonesia in 1967 by MPRS. Opposition newspapers which were banned during Sukarno’s regime, such as Indonesia Raya etc., are permitted to continue publications. Several newly-emerging newspapers such as Harian KAMI, Mahasiswa Indonesia, and Mimbar Demokrasi, participated in the ‘short democratisation process’ before the shift to authoritarian phase after January 15th 1974 unrest. This paper will discuss the transition process from the Guided Democracy era to the New Order, the consolidation process of the New Order, the role of newspapers as a medium of social criticism between 1966-74, and the New Order’s government response regarding social criticisms in the newspapers. The research method used in the preparation of this article includes a literature review through books and journals relevant to the research topic, as well as archival observation of newspapers, but limited to four newspapers: Indonesia Raya, Harian KAMI, Mahasiswa Indonesia, and Mimbar Demokrasi.
2025-12-29T15:53:55+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 HEURISTIK: Jurnal Pendidikan Sejarahhttps://heuristik.ejournal.unri.ac.id/index.php/HJPS/article/view/223Sejarah Masyarakat Talang Jawa dalam Lanskap Kolonial di Desa Tebat Agung, Kecamatan Rambang Niru, Sumatera Selatan (1911–1933) 2026-01-08T15:38:06+07:00Aliyah Zahra[email protected]Farida R Wargadalem[email protected]Helen Susanti[email protected]
This article explores the social dynamics of the Talang Jawa community in Tebat Agung Village, Rambang Niru District, South Sumatra, within the context of railway construction by the Dutch colonial government during the period 1911–1933. This study employs a qualitative approach using historical methods, including the stages of heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The findings reveal that the construction of the railway not only strengthened colonial transportation infrastructure but also triggered large-scale labor migration from Java. These migrants eventually settled and formed the Talang Jawa community. Interactions between local residents and newcomers led to significant social, economic, and cultural transformations. The community demonstrated cultural resilience by adapting to colonial systems while maintaining their local identity, forming solidarity, and expressing resistance against colonial injustice. This study highlights the importance of reconstructing local community histories as active agents within the colonial landscape and contributes to a broader understanding of the history of the working class in Indonesia.

2026-01-08T15:32:51+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 HEURISTIK: Jurnal Pendidikan Sejarah
