The research method used involves case studies in several high schools with data collection through library studies by collecting journal references, articles, theses. The research results show that project-based learning significantly increases students' competency achievements, including understanding of material, analytical skills and critical thinking abilities. Apart from that, this method has also been proven to increase students' learning motivation as seen from their active involvement and higher interest in historical material. However, implementing this method faces several challenges such as the need for longer time and intensive support from teachers. Based on these findings, it is recommended that there be ongoing training and support for teachers as well as the development of relevant resources to optimize the implementation of project-based learning. This research provides important insights for educators and policy makers in efforts to improve the quality of history teaching through innovative methods</p> Beriqtian Fernanda, Fahruddin Copyright (c) 2025 HEURISTIK: Jurnal Pendidikan Sejarah https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://heuristik.ejournal.unri.ac.id/index.php/HJPS/article/view/175 Thu, 29 Aug 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Video Animasi Berbasis Powtoon Materi Perlawanan Samin Surosentiko Terhadap Kolonialisme Di Kabupaten Blora Untuk Kelas XI 5 SMAN 1 Ngawen https://heuristik.ejournal.unri.ac.id/index.php/HJPS/article/view/180 <p><em>The development of information and technology in the world of education has had a major impact on the history learning process in schools. Therefore, learning media is very important in the process of delivering material. Based on the needs analysis at SMAN 1 Ngawen, the use of learning media in history learning is still minimal and is only limited to powerpoint media. Therefore, in this research, learning media was developed in the form of a powtoon-based animated video about Samin Surosentiko's resistance to fighting colonialism in Blora Regency using the ADDIE Research and Development (RnD) research model developed by Nunuk Suryani. The results of this research show that the category is very suitable for use with a percentage of 93% for material experts and 81% for media experts. This learning media product was also applied to students in two groups, where the small group got a percentage of 90% and the large group got a percentage of 86%. However, in reality, history teaching methods still operate in a world of rote memorization that only assesses cognitive knowledge. Researchers tried to overcome this problem by changing the learning model. By utilizing a project-based learning model, the research seeks to improve the historical learning outcomes of Class XI-3 students at SMAN 1 Tasikmalaya. The research method uses a classroom activity method with a two-stage design, namely planning, implementation, and observation and reflection. The first cycle of learning results reached a score of 67 in the "not good" category. In cycle II, the value was 84%, while in cycle II, the percentage was in the "good" category.
